Crest’s “Quality Management Systems” surpass ISO Standards.
Crest Coating is pleased to announce that it has received ISO 9001:2015 Certification for the company’s consistently high level in both the quality of its products and the quality of its internal processes.
The ISO 9001:2015 Standard validates the level of a company’s Quality Management Systems. It’s an all-encompassing standard for business operations that includes performance in areas such as everyday procedures, process flows, inventory management, quoting policies, employee training, and product traceability.
Crest Coating Vice President Jeff Erickson explains what it means to go from “Our quality speaks for itself” to the validation of ISO certification: “We’ve always been ISO compliant, but now we won’t need that extra time to prove it to new customers.” Jeff is looking forward to more sales pitches that focus on the quality of Crest’s coatings and the value of its customer service.
Crest routinely tracks a number of key performance indicators (KPIs) such as management performance, on-time delivery, and internal and external reworks. Tracking these KPIs keeps Crest on a path of continuous improvement that the ISO 9001:2015 Standard promotes.
Andrew Starritt, Technical Sales and Estimating at Crest, is pleased about how the hard work of Crest’s staff has paid off. “This ISO certification is just a validation of the processes we already had in place,” Andrew says. “We had the reputation for quality products and the ability to handle difficult projects easily—now we have the proof.”
